Honestly, snow tickles Seattle and everyone runs screaming to mummy. Seriously every couple of years I have to write about how not used to snow Seattlites are and how it reduces us to a puddle of goo and retards productivity by like 1000%. Good thing the internet can be weather agnostic for the most part or state GDP would have taken a nice nap for this week.
As it is, I’m in my den, banging out emails like the very best of them and working to meet deadlines that will inevitably try to bite me in the behind when this all stops. In the meantime, came across at least one interesting links today: Internet 2011 in numbers. Email yo. And yeah, everyone is protesting
SOPA today, including Wikipedia but I honestly can’t be bothered to turn my theme black. It’s not that I heart SOPA, it’s that I think that if the big Silicon Valley boys really oppose this, they should gear up and become as effective at this lobbying game as the opposition. I would love to put people who want to strangle the internet on the defensive. Ginning up outrage on the internet is ‘doing it on the cheap’ imho. Not a long term strategy.
