A few words on Amanda Peet

First let me squish the inevitable accusations of having a crush: she’s not classically beautiful, although not unlovely. And she’s 40 and you can see she’s no longer a starlet. She’s also not the best actress of her generation although when she moves through space in something I find it captivating.

What she does have is a mouth that knows how to smile and laugh in the most fascinating way. A face that says she is capable of dealing with reality whatever it is. A constant suspicion that while she is practical, she is underneath it all, ruled by passion. And finally, eyes that simply hold mystery; mystery held in humorous suspense.

I am unsure why she has not made it into the big leagues. She certainly seems like she would want to live life on her own terms.
