Heathrow International Airport

@!!&^!!QDy!*&#!!!

Pure hate. After 7 years you would think there would be improvement. But what with arrant commercialism – literally you walk from the security gate in terminal 3 into 10,000 square feet of duty free shopping in all directions; a regular tourist trap. It’s disorienting because you expect to be in an airport not a super Target. And then beyond that is the food area (captured in panorama above, click to embiggen) which is another large expanse of expensive colorific temptation. And then those uncomfortable seats within the spare spaces, littered like an afterthought through this temple of consumption cum airport. The seats are the worst. The absolute pits.

And there is no free WIFI!!!!!!!!!!!!! Uneffingbelievable.

Oh and even with MVP Gold status, I was refused entry into any of the airport lounges. Something about the wrong metal…

A thousand poxes on Heathrow.
